United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Safe Haven Initiative

Safe Haven initiative is a campus project for the Millennium Fellowship class of 2025, at Mbarara university of science and technology, Mbarara-Uganda. It focuses on promoting mental well being for all through creating mental health awareness amongst the groups at risk of developing mental health disorders, promoting preventive measures and offering emotional support to such groups. It also aims at providing counseling services to those undergoing mental health disorders.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mutama claire is a passionate and determined young leader from namisindwa district, uganda and a mugisubby tribe.Being the first girl in her village and family to join the university, she has become a symbol of hope and inspiration to many young girls in her community.currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in education specialising in chemistry and mathematics at mbarara University of science and technology. Claire is dedicated to uplifting science education and promoting equal opportunities for learners in underserved areas.Her leadership journey started in childhood serving as a head girl in primary school, a councillor in secondary school , a class president at the University and many more influential roles.Claire decided to apply for the Millennium Fellowship in order to grow her leadership skills and many more.
