ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Safe Haven Initiative

Safe Haven initiative is a campus project for the Millennium Fellowship class of 2025, at Mbarara university of science and technology, Mbarara-Uganda. It focuses on promoting mental well being for all through creating mental health awareness amongst the groups at risk of developing mental health disorders, promoting preventive measures and offering emotional support to such groups. It also aims at providing counseling services to those undergoing mental health disorders.

About the Millennium Fellow

Tushabe Patience Desire is a girl aged 22 and a Student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Bachelor of Science in Gender and Applied women health.
She is very passionate about SRHR especially adolescent health. She has participated in several activities to promote adolescent health in the local communities in Uganda. She is a certified peer educator under the MUST peer project , a volunteer in Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU), a non profit organization in Uganda that promotes SRHR among young people and also a certified sign language interpreter. These skills have equipped her with information, experience and driven her passion for Adolescent Health.
