"Green Initiative Movement is a student-based initiative at Njala University devoted to cultivating a healthy, just and to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being, 4 (Quality Education), and 13 (Climate Action) through education, advocacy, and sustainable actions and socially responsible choices. We educate, empower, and mobilize a network of students to become visionary catalysts for sustainable change in their lives, campuses and local communities. We attract a dynamic service-oriented group of people on campus who have an interest not only in the green campus initiatives but in improving their community, build a resilience campus. Our main aim is to tackle the challenges faced by students from Zero Hunger to Climate Action by taking steps to reduce on ecological our carbon footprint and promote harmony between human activities and the natural world capacity building sessions, community outreach, and innovative academic research The Green Initiative Movement aims to create a transformative impact on campus and surrounding communities.
