" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow as I believe that this platform would help me in reaching out to a lot more people who needs help. Further, it would also allow me to interact with like-minded individuals, which will help me in enhancing my efforts towards addressing of different problems like poverty, illiteracy, etc. I do the work I do because I have been through some hardships of my own and I know how comforting and better it feels to know that there is someone to support you. I got the support which I needed, now I want to do the same to others and support them by helping them to the best of my ability. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Chetna: Mental Health for All
Our project titled “Chetna” focus on addressing the increasing challenge of mental health issues among students, including stress, anxiety, and lack of accessible support. The initiative aims to raise awareness, provide practical resources, and foster a supportive community to promote mental well-being. By conducting awareness campaigns, workshops, and creating educational materials such as handbooks on mental health, the project empowers individuals to recognize and manage mental health challenges effectively. Through collaboration with NGOs and university stakeholders, it strives to reduce stigma, enhance emotional resilience, and create a positive social impact by encouraging open conversations and timely intervention. Ultimately, the initiative contributes to a healthier, more informed society where mental health is prioritized and supported
