Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Aaharasya
Project Aaharasya was made with the aim of helping the communities around us, in order to help mitigate food insecurity. Not many people around us realise that even if the basic requirement of food for sustenance is fulfilled, this is not adequate. This project would want to bring more awareness to the importance of having healthier food as a regular part of a human's diet. In a time where almost every packaged thing is adulterated or contains microplastics, cheaper and more accessible food makes a person end up having no choice but to sacrifice their health for sustenance. We hope to contribute to a cause where they do not have to make that choice - teaching the lesser privileged the science of having a balanced diet, can help them make more conscious choices wherever possible by habit. When there is no choice due to the lack of resources and funds, that is where we would need larger community support. Eventually, we hope to build a community that chooses to eat healthy wherever possible, and say no to large scale manufacturers that exploit their situation by selling unhealthy food at a very low price.
