" "I am excited to be part of a forum that gives a platform to make true changes using the resources it has to offer. I believe my existing skills, along with the ones I will acquire through this experience, will be enriching to say the least. I hope to live up to the ideals I strive to set out for myself and am excited to commit myself through this opportunity. " "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Aequitas
The Gender Sensitivity Initiative (Project Aequitas) is a social impact project led by Nandita Matolli and Raghav Goyal from National Law University, Delhi. It tackles systemic gender inequalities in lower-income communities.
The project marries grassroots education with legal advocacy to challenge embedded biases in institutional and cultural structures. Key objectives include conducting community workshops on gender rights, providing legal assistance to discrimination victims, and engaging in policy dialogue. The team has conducted on-ground surveys and initiated partnerships with schools. Their long-term vision is to create a culture where equality is instinctive. They seek volunteers and funding to expand outreach and publish a gender-sensitivity handbook
