Millennium Fellowship Project: Saathi: Rights and Reach
We sensitised people across office, colleges and school through various means with respect to Disability ID(UDID) issued by government authority and government schemes. We conducted activities. We conducted discussion amongst students with disabilities to open the dialogue on critical issues. We also reached out to government to set up camp to issue cards to person with disabilities and reduce the gap between government and PwD and currently in talks with them.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ruth Sarah Abraham is a third-year law student who took up law out of a deep passion to serve society and fight for people’s rights. She believes in giving her all, whether in academics, sports, or dance, valuing effort over outcomes. Inspired by her mother’s kindness, Ruth has long worked with specially abled children as a classmate and scribe, guided underprivileged students preparing for entrances, and supported NGOs that empower the most vulnerable.
