" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will allow me to turn my passion for helping others into impactful action, while working alongside like-minded change makers to create a more inclusive and sustainable world. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I will gain collaborative leadership skills, enabling me to work effectively with diverse teams, manage projects efficiently, and engage communities with impact. These skills will benefit me by enhancing my ability to solve problems creatively, communicate persuasively, and build strong networks, all of which will help me design, implement, and scale initiatives that contribute meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Lifeline: Community Well Being Program
As part of our project, we organised a innovative event on our campus called Secret Box, where the students could put in their mental health related queries into a box anonymously, and later these queries were taken up by our on campus psychologist who engaged the students in a discussion on these queries while also giving her professional opinion, later the students were divided into smaller groups and each group further discuused these queries in their groups, this helped students talk about mental health in safe space without judgement or stigma, the event saw participation from over 70 students. Apart from the on campus event we also collaborated with a local NGO who work with underprivilaged children and conducted a workshop on menstrual health, hygiene and different menstrual products, and also cleared student doubts on on the topic.
