" The greatest motivation behind my work is the deep sense of fulfillment I find in helping others and creating meaningful change in their lives. The Millennium Fellowship offers me the opportunity to carry this passion to a global platform, where I can align my efforts with the SDGs and collaborate with like-minded peers. I am truly ecstatic to expand the impact of my values through collective action, ensuring that the satisfaction I find in service translates into lasting social good. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Beyond Boundaries: A Child's Right to Education
The project aims to provide quality education to all children, with a particular focus on the children of migrant workers in Kerala. Our primary attention will be on Ernakulam District, a hub for migrant workers seeking employment opportunities and then if resources and opportunities allows we will start researching on the widespread migrant worker population across Kerala state. We will start by exploring the disparities in educational access between urban and rural areas, emphasizing key socioeconomic factors like language barriers and enrollment rates that obstruct these children from accessing education. Additionally, we will evaluate government policies and initiatives addressing these challenges and seek partnerships with NGOs and foundations already active in this field. We will focus on raising awareness among parents and teachers to encourage maximum enrollment and prevent dropouts. Through collaboration with NGOs, we aim to connect students with resources that will support their continued education or higher studies. For students in higher secondary classes, we will provide guidance on entrance exams and available opportunities for further education. This project is designed to equip these children with the tools and support needed to smoothly transition into higher education and realize their full potential.
