" Empathy and a belief in educational equity drive my work. I have always believed that “an act of kindness can warm three winters” and believe that the Millennium Fellowship will help me make my impact by connecting with like-minded leaders and creating innovative solutions. I am excited to gain new perspectives, refine my leadership, and contribute to global progress. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Roshan Raahain
Roshan Rahain (Lighted Paths) is a youth-led educational initiative dedicated to promoting learning, confidence, and self-belief among underprivileged children, particularly orphans. The project focuses on addressing educational inequality by conducting interactive sessions in orphanages and under-resourced schools, using storytelling, motivational talks, and real-life success stories to inspire students. By highlighting the power of education and sharing narratives of resilience, Roshan Rahain encourages children to see learning as a source of hope and empowerment. The initiative aims to build a sustainable mentorship network that connects university students with children from marginalized communities, thus creating lasting relationships that nurture lifelong learning.
