" "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." - Helen Keller.
As a Millennium Fellow, I'm excited to collaborate with fellow change makers and amplify our impact on social causes. This quote resonates with me because it highlights the power of collective effort in driving meaningful change, which is at the heart of the fellowship and the work I do. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Smart Choices Start with Labels
"Smart Choices Start with Labels" is an awareness initiative empowering young adults, particularly university students, to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. By educating individuals on how to read and understand food and nutrition labels, the project promotes healthier, safer, and smarter choices in daily life. Through interactive sessions and engaging materials, participants will learn to identify key ingredients, nutritional values, expiry dates, and distinguish between factual information and misleading claims. By fostering a culture of mindful purchasing, the project aims to improve health outcomes and encourage responsible decision-making. This initiative addresses the growing concern of deteriorating health among young adults, largely due to increased consumption of processed foods, energy drinks, and tobacco products, and equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary for a healthier lifestyle.
