United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: DAYAN

We plan on making a study of the psychological horror the victims have to go through with various team ups with NGOs and reports by the government talking with leading experts. Further, we plan on meeting with these survivors through the NGOs and then we can spread awareness through talking with them making them aware of the various government schemes and scholarships in their favor. We can teach them if the employment opportunities in front of them. In these two ways we can after the semester is over measure our success in their rehabilitation and sensitization at the end in a qualitative way.

About the Millennium Fellow

Akankshya Patnaik is a dedicated law student at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), originally from Odisha, India, and currently residing in Ranchi, Jharkhand. She is deeply passionate about social change and the advancement of human rights, with a strong commitment to legal research and community service. Akankshya aspires to leverage her academic background and practical experience to drive positive societal transformation. She aspires to work in a community driven by passion for a change and cultivation of fine advocacies, where she would grow professionally into the finest version of herself and contribute maximum to the society, help others in need and more.
