Millennium Fellowship Project: DAYAN

This project aims to combat the issue of witch hunting which is quite prevalent around the nation, especially in tribal states like Jharkhand. Witch hunting is gender biased practice which portrays women as witches and is detrimental to them. This project focuses on increasing awareness about the social evil of witch hunting. The project will also perform surveys, field visits which will help the victims of witch hunting as well as teach the people about the negative consequences this act may have.

About the Millennium Fellow

Astha raj is a passionate and dedicated student at National University of study and research in Law. She has actively participated and engaged in a number of events related to social, ethical and cultural issues. With a keen interest in human rights and legal reforms she wishes to work to bridge the gulf between law and social change through community engagement.
