United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Drop of Hope

Drop of Hope is a sustainable development initiative under SDG 6 that combines infrastructure improvement, community engagement, and academic capacity building. Through clean water facilities at a rural school and a collaborative Water Treatment Workshop at NUST, the project integrates practical implementation with technical education, promoting long term water security, awareness, and scalable, research-backed solutions for safe water access.

About the Millennium Fellow

Hashir Abdullah is a passionate and dedicated chemical engineering student with a strong interest in industrial process optimization, thermodynamics, and sustainable technologies. Born and raised in Pakistan, he has consistently demonstrated a curiosity for science and problem solving. Throughout his academic journey, Hashir has engaged in research, presentations, and projects that highlight his leadership, teamwork, and innovative thinking. With a deep commitment to lifelong learning and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, he aspires to contribute to advancements in clean energy, environmental protection, and industrial efficiency through his future career in engineering.
