" Civil engineering lets me design not just buildings, but possibilities. My project is a fusion of creativity, curiosity, and unconventional thinking. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it sees potential where others see limits and gives me the stage to make a quiet idea create a loud impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Soil Seismic Behavior Analysis

The project focuses on improving how communities understand earthquake risks. Instead of keeping seismic information limited to engineers, I aim to translate it into something clear and visual for everyone. We study how the soil in Islamabad reacts when the ground shakes and turn this data into an easy-to-understand 3D model. This model shows which areas are more vulnerable and how an earthquake might affect the ground beneath different neighborhoods.
The goal is simple: Make earthquake awareness accessible, visual, and useful for planning safer communities. By helping students, local authorities, and residents see the hidden behaviour of soil, the project supports better decision-making and encourages preparedness. This directly contributes to SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by promoting safer construction practices and resilience in earthquake-prone regions.
