" I'm excited about the chance to become a Millennium Fellow—it’s the perfect platform to pour my heart into improving healthcare access and uplifting underserved communities. I strongly believe that real change happens when we blend knowledge, compassion, and teamwork. Through this fellowship, I'm excited to grow as a leader, connect with inspiring change makers, and build sustainable health projects that align with the SDGs, turning my dreams into lasting impact of realities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sexual Transmitted Infections
My project would focus on the risks of unprotected sex and contacting sexually transmitted disease (STDs) among teenagers in my community. I would make a survey to know the knowledge and prevalence of these people on STDs. I would also identify the myths and misconceptions they have about people that have STIs. Then I would analyze this survey and identify the lapses. I would then organize educational programs and outreaches to schools and the community to enlighten them about STDs, and the dangers of unsafe abortions and unprotected sex.
