Millennium Fellowship Project: GROW-UP AFRICA
Grow-Up Africa is an initiative birthed to build a generation of focused, purpose-driven, serious minded individuals with sharpened and activated potentials to achieve success. We are committed to developing and helping young individuals grow into their full potentials by helping them harness their strength and activating their latent potentials in dominating their spheres of interests.
About the Millennium Fellow
Adelola Shotunde is a final year Economics student at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. She is a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. She is passionate about youth development and nation building, firmly believing that young people will be inspired to contribute meaningfully to national progress when they are equipped with strong leadership skills and the knowledge needed to create change.
She is the founder of GROW-UP AFRICA, a community dedicated to building a generation of focused, purpose-driven individuals. GROW-UP AFRICA contributes to nation building by helping young people grow into their full potential, harness their strengths, and become catalysts of positive change who can shape policies, lead initiatives, and address societal challenges. By fostering values such as integrity, responsibility, and vision, GROW-UP empowers youths to take ownership of their role in the development of their respective sectors.
Through her project, she hopes to nurture a generation of leaders who are proactive, visionary, and capable of advancing progress across all sectors of society.
Adelola aspires to be in a professional field where she can cultivate these advocacies further, and provide her contribution to the development of the society.
