Millennium Fellowship Project: STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE

The Student Mental Health Advocate Project is a heartfelt effort to help students feel supported and understood in their school. It’s about looking out for their mental well-being—helping them navigate tough stuff like stress, anxiety, or feeling down. The project brings together caring people, like students, teachers, or volunteers, who get trained to listen and offer a hand. They might sit with someone who’struggling, point them toward a counselor, or just be there to talk. The team puts on workshops, school-wide events, or campaigns to spread the word about mental health and make it okay to speak up. They work closely with teachers and families to make sure kids get the support they need. It’s all about building a school where everyone feels cared for, mental health matters, and no one’s left feeling alone.
