United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empower Next

Empower Next Empower Next is an initiative focused on strengthening students’ confidence, self-expression, and mental awareness, aligning with SDG 4: Quality Education. During school outreach sessions, the project addresses a subtle but real gap in many educational environments. Empower Next aims to equip students with the confidence to navigate school, personal relationships, and future career paths.

About the Millennium Fellow

Faridah Opeyemi Bello is a second-year Law student at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, with a strong passion for corporate and international law. She has gained experience through internships and virtual fellowships, where she explored intellectual property, technology law, and policy development. Faridah is committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to justice, equality, and strong institutions. She aspires to use the law as a tool for social impact and global progress, combining excellence, integrity, and service in her career.
