ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: R-DIET

R-DIET is focused on enhancing nutrition among secondary school students by addressing issues of malnutrition and unhealthy eating habits. The goal is to shift mindsets and behaviors towards healthier diets, while also engaging students in the production of their own food through interactive learning, teaching sessions, and practical demonstrations.
📊 Measurable Goals (August–December 2025):
Reach and engage at least 50 students in one secondary school.
Raise at least ₦50,000 to provide teaching aids, learning materials, and student support.
Conduct nutrition education workshops with students, parents, and teachers.
Gather positive feedback from participants on improved awareness and behavior towards healthy eating.

About the Millennium Fellow

John Olaoluwa Adepoju is a driven student of Materials Science and Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, passionate about advancing sustainable energy and innovation. Growing up in rural Oyo State, Nigeria, with limited access to electricity, he developed a vision to improve lives through clean and sustainable solutions. He currently serves as Director of Creatives I at JCIN OAU and General Secretary of AMSES, leading initiatives that educate, inspire, and empower young people. As an advocate of SDGs 7, 9, and 13, John is committed to driving impact through education, community service, and climate action.
