Millennium Fellowship Project: Innovatio

SDG 9, Industry, innovation and infrastructure is a very fascinating goal because it has most of other SDG embedded in it. This project aims to inspire innovation in young people in Africa community. In many African countries, people(young people) lack access to modern technology and digital tools and skills due to poverty and high costs of learning the skills. However, many of these young people have brilliant minds and ideas. Unfortunately, without the right skills and training, their potential goes to waste. The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9) aims to promote innovation, sustainable industries, and resilient infrastructure and as a Millennium Fellow I aspire to contribute to it My definition of innovations simple: 'using what you have to create what you need and what others will find useful.' To achieve this goal, I plan to: - Organize workshops and seminars in secondary schools and on university campus - Host skill-building workshops where people can learn new skills - Showcase innovative projects and ideas through exhibitions By doing so, I hope to create a community where innovation strive and empower young people to become innovative thinkers and problem-solvers, ultimately contributing to sustainable development in their communities.
