Millennium Fellowship Project: Human Impact on Climate
Climate change is a pressing global issue, primarily caused by various human activities. This project aims to enlighten people about the consequences of these activities on our environment. Some of the human activities causing harm to the environment include: 1. Bush Burning: The act of setting fire to bushes and vegetation, releasing harmful greenhouse gases. 2. Deforestation: The clearance of forests, usually as a result of human activities like agriculture, urbanization, and logging. 3. Burning of Fossils: The combustion of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas, releasing carbon dioxide and other pollutants. These human activities can lead to severe consequences, including: 1. Skin Cancer: Depletion of the ozone layer due to human activities allows harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun to reach the Earth's surface, increasing the risk of skin cancer. 2. Global Warming: Rising global temperatures cause extreme dryness, fluctuations in precipitation, and heatwaves, which can severely impact the agricultural sector. 3. Heart-Related Diseases: Heat strokes and other heart-related diseases can occur due to the severity of heat waves caused by global warming. By understanding the consequences of our actions and making conscious choices, we can work together to protect our planet.
