United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Empowerher
Project EmpowerHER is a community-driven initiative focused on promoting gender equality and empowering young women through education, legal awareness, and economic independence. The project aims to equip women with the tools and support they need to thrive in a society where gender discrimination still persists.
The primary goal of Project EmpowerHER is to provide practical resources and emotional support for victims of gender-based violence, while advocating for policy reforms that foster gender equality. The project will begin its implementation within universities, the foundation of social and intellectual development, to nurture awareness and leadership among young women.
About the Millennium Fellow
Talabi Fiyinfoluwa Frieda is a determined and dedicated young woman with a deep passion for mental health,children advocacy and personal development. She is a 400 level student,studying Psychology at Olabisi Onabanjo University,Ago Iwoye, Ogun State. Frieda is passionate about making impact and dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to quality education, good health and wellbeing. Growing up she saw how most children and youth did not have certain opportunities like quality education and emotional wellbeing and she saw how this has affected their upbringing and adulthood and that is why she sha decided to be a voice for them. Frieda's ultimate goal is to design impactful programs and inspire global action that uplift the mental and emotional well being of young people and youth globally.
