Millennium Fellowship Project: Ink to Impact
I will be collecting old newspapers from my college community and donating them to an NGO that recycles them into useful products like jute bags, stationery, and packaging. This project aims to reduce paper waste on campus while supporting sustainable practices and livelihoods. My goal is to collect at least 60 kilograms of old newspapers from students and faculty within my college. To make this sustainable, I will set up a monthly collection drive so that newspaper recycling becomes a regular practice rather than a one-time effort. I also aim to involve over 50 members of the college community in contributing newspapers and directly engaging with the initiative. Alongside collection, I will focus on creating awareness by reaching out to at least 200 peers through posters, short presentations and conversations on how recycling can reduce waste and promote responsible consumption.

Mahita Jindal is a passionate and compassionate individual who wants to create change through law and policy. Her journey reflects her passion and dedication to empower marginalized voices. She has been to an international exchange to Egypt and taught english to specially abled children. She is a kind and hard working person who is driven and wants to impact the lives of people around her.
