" I am excited to be part of this fellowship because it offers a unique platform to contribute to global solutions while learning from diverse perspectives. This opportunity aligns with my passion for environmental advocacy, sustainable development, and youth-led action. By engaging with experts, policymakers, and fellow change makers from around the world, I can strengthen my skills, expand my network, and bring innovative, practical solutions back to my community. The fellowship will allow me to connect my local initiatives such as my work with EHCO and the Buraaq Association to global frameworks like the SDGs, ensuring that my impact resonates beyond borders. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Food Connect
Our world is facing severe problems with food shortages today. I belong to Pakistan, an underdeveloped country which is facing food shortage. Access to clean and healthy food is a basic right and necessity of everyone but this right is greatly spoiled. This necessity of humans is addressed efficiently by SDG 2. On the other hand I also want to shed light on the food wastage. A large amount of food is wasted daily in restaurants and marriage halls, so why not to distribute it to the people who are dying for it. My initiative is focused to bridge this gap between food shortage and food wastage. our strategy is to target the restaurants, marriage halls, canteens and houses at the last. we will collect extra food from them and distribute it to the poor community. we will target slum areas in androon lahore, sahdman, and data darbar side of the lahore. We will use social media platforms, seminars, and public awareness of our project. We will also create a platform so that people can reach out to us and give us their surplus food, which we will distribute to the community who deserves it.
