Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Mental Health Awareness
This project focuses on raising awareness about mental health among youth, using seminars and discussions to educate participants on its importance and effects. The target audience includes people aged 12 to 30, who are guided on how to better understand and manage mental health challenges. This project collaborates with psychologists, teachers, and friends to facilitate these sessions. So far, it has directly engaged with over 200 people and reached many more indirectly, helping participants reflect on mental health and adopt healthier approaches to challenges. University and school management actively supported the project, which contributed to its success. Moving forward, this project aims to expand volunteer involvement to reach a wider audience and strengthen its impact.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Muhammad Waqas Khattak and I am studying law from the University of Punjab. I belong to pashtun family basically from kohat but for study purpose currently living in Lahore.
I am interested in reading books . I have been part or various non profit organizations and I love to do volunteer work for the welfare of society.
I hope I learn new skills in this fellowship program.
