" "Medicine treats disease, but public health prevents it—and with global collaboration, we can heal communities before they fall ill." This aligns with the SGD-3 of the UN. I am very excited to put in the work which aligns with this principle and create a positive impact on the community health "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Prevention is better than cure

My project is based on the fact that most of the adults of my area, do not get annual health checkups done. By the time they get their check ups done it’s too late. Their sugar or blood pressure levels would have reached levels that would show evident signs of damage and with the symptoms they show up to the hospital. This can be deadly sometimes. The main objective of my project is to go to a nearby locality around my college area and educate the underprivileged and the privileged people about the benefits of getting regular health checkups done. I plan on doing this by using various mass media technology and developing an app that would digitize their health records, which would make it easy for the doctor to go through in their subsequent visits. I want to educate them about the benefits of getting regular health checkups done, tell them how sparing a day a year can make sure they have along and a happy life and preventing diseases that are very easy to detect and treat.
