ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

" Passion for positive social change and community development drives my work as a social work student.Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will provide me the platform to strengthen my leadership, communication, collaboration and project management skills.I strongly believe this experience will enable me to create sustainable impact through youth engagement,research, and social initiatives aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs.I am super excited to use this opportunity to transform ideas into action and contribute meaningfully to building a more just,safe and inclusive society. Millennium Fellowship Project: Educare for Equal Green Peace

Educare for Equal Green Peace is a holistic green education initiative that promotes inclusive learning, climate awareness, and sustainable livelihoods for rural and marginalized communities. By integrating formal education with community practices, the project connects SDG 4 (Quality Education) with health, gender equality, climate action, peace, and responsible consumption. It empowers youth and communities to build resilience, leadership, and sustainable futures.
Measurable Goals (August–December 2025):
Host at least 3 educational training sessions reaching 150+ children and youth.
Launch a digital awareness campaign reaching 5,000+ people.
Plant 200+ saplings in schools and communities.
Train 40–60 youth leaders in climate adaptation, peace, and leadership skills.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ayrin Sultana Alo is a dedicated Social Work student at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, with a strong passion for social justice,community development and youth leadership. Born and raised in Faridpur, she has been actively involved in volunteering, academic research, and youth-led initiatives that align with the UN sustainable development goals. Throughout her University journey, Ayrin has contributed to projects on juvenile delinquency,career planning, climate action,and community engagement, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to positive change. She aspires to become a professional social worker and researcher,creating impactful solutions for social development both locally and globally.
