United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The RUN healthy living promotion

This project focuses on the promotion of healthy lifestyle practices among undergraduates by raising awareness on what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. It addressed the key components of healthy living and highlighted seemingly little things that promote a healthy lifestyle.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abisagbo-Ola Esther Ayomitunde is a young, dedicated Public Health student at Redeemer’s University, Nigeria, with a strong commitment to advancing health equity and improving community well-being. Born and raised in Ogun State, Nigeria, Esther has developed a deep interest in addressing public health challenges with particular focus on health promotion and the reduction of maternal and child mortality.
She has been actively involved in health-related initiatives, including participation in health rallies and membership in the Radiant Life Club, an undergraduate organization focused on promoting healthy living among students. Her leadership capacity is evident through her service as a three-time Assistant Welfare Director of the Redeemer’s University Association of Public Health Students (RUNAPHS), where she contributed to student welfare and health advocacy efforts.
In addition to her academic and leadership roles, Esther has pursued professional development through certifications such as Certified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (CMEO), Certified Emergency and Ambulance Care Assistant (CEACA), and Certified Disaster Recovery Professional (CDRP). These credentials reflect her dedication to building practical skills that complement her academic training.
Looking ahead, Esther aspires to become a health advocate with a focus on promoting good health practices and reducing maternal and child mortality. She is committed to contributing to public health through research, advocacy, and leadership in programs that improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
