Millennium Fellowship Project: Smart Alert Vigilant Vocal Youths

My project focuses on ensuring people do not fall victim to fraudulent activities and showing those considering it, or already involved, that there are better alternatives. With many people seeking quick money, youths are increasingly vulnerable to scams and exploitation. In line with SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, the project tackles the rise in fraudulent activities among young people and the growing number of victims of these scams. The target audience is young adults, with the aim of showing them legitimate ways to earn money and how to identify what is a scam and what is not. Through this project, I was able to educate people on the dangers of fraudulent practices, the harm they cause, the consequences if caught, and better alternatives. What I needed to do better was secure sponsorships from companies to provide more tangible opportunities.
