" "Youth political participation is a key stepping stone to ensuring lasting global peace. The Millennium Fellowship offers a great platform for connecting with other young professionals who share similar values for the SDGs, education, and global connection. I am so excited to be joining such a wonderful cohort of students working towards positive growth and change worldwide!" "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Designing Inclusion: Stories to Action
Increasing youth participation has been a growing focus among many SDG-centered projects and efforts, yet many young professionals feel that much more progress is needed for meaningful inclusion. My project seeks to identify what is lacking from these spaces, by combining analytical research on the progress of the Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) agenda with interviews capturing individual students' personal experiences. By understanding the challenges facing globally-minded young professionals today, Stories to Actions end goal is to provide recommendations on how international organizations can better their policies toward youth inclusion.
