" I am driven to create a society where mental health is free from stigma and vulnerable communities have equitable access to justice. The Millennium Fellowship offers the platform to merge my legal training with grassroots advocacy, building evidence-based, culturally sensitive solutions. Collaborating with global change makers will strengthen my capacity to challenge systemic barriers, empower marginalized voices, and turn my vision of dignity and opportunity for all into lasting reality. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mind & Justice

Mind & Justice is a social-impact initiative focused on improving the mental health and overall well-being of two highly vulnerable groups that are, juveniles in conflict with the law and war widows. The project works to ensure accessible, compassionate, and structured psychological support, recognising the trauma, stigma, and socio-economic challenges these groups face. Alongside mental-health interventions, Mind & Justice also prioritises quality education and skill-building, empowering beneficiaries to rebuild their lives with dignity and long-term resilience.
Aligned with SDG 3 (further aligning itself with SDG 4): Good Health and Well-Being, the initiative promotes holistic rehabilitation, emotional healing, and educational upliftment to create sustainable pathways toward inclusion, justice, and personal growth.

About the Millennium Fellow

Agnivesh Kaushik is a law student at Symbiosis International University, NOIDA, deeply committed to human rights advocacy and social justice. His work with NGOs and the Uttar Pradesh Human Rights Commission has taken him from drafting petitions to conducting field visits in women’s shelters, supporting war widows, and facilitating access to welfare schemes. These experiences have given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities and the systemic reforms needed to address them. Agnivesh aspires to combine legal expertise with grassroots engagement, advancing policies that uphold dignity, equity, and mental well-being for the most vulnerable.
