" I am deeply passionate about using the law as a tool to create a more just and sustainable world. Growing up, I saw how inequality and environmental degradation affect lives across communities, and I have always believed that meaningful change begins with informed action. I want to be part of the generation that not only envisions a better future but actively works to build it—where justice, dignity, and opportunity are realities for people everywhere. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Nyaya Setu
My project focuses on creating awareness about legal, financial, and human rights among underprivileged sections of society. The aim is to bridge the gap between law in books and law in practice by ensuring that marginalized communities understand their rights and feel empowered to exercise them. Through awareness drives, campaigns, and the provision of basic legal aid, the project will work to strengthen voices that are often left unheard.
The inspiration for this initiative comes from one of my past internship experiences, where I observed how a lack of legal awareness prevented vulnerable individuals from accessing remedies that were rightfully available to them. Witnessing this gap made me realize that legal education must not remain confined to classrooms or courtrooms, but should extend to the very people who need it most.
Between August and December 2025, I aim to conduct at least five community awareness campaigns, reach over 500 individuals with easy-to-read materials in local languages, and set up a small legal aid and advisory cell to directly assist those in need. Alongside this, I hope to collaborate with student volunteers and local organizations to ensure wider outreach, while also collecting measurable feedback to evaluate the impact of the project.
