Millennium Fellowship Project: ILLUMINATED
Our project illuminatEd started by the previous class of Millennium Fellows aimed to work towards the goal of enlightening the lives of children though education. we target children who aren't able to get any formal education. The kind of education we would be providing as a team differs from traditional education. We would be teaching children moral values, sensitive issues that is not generally taught in school such as good touch and bad touch, menstruation, and overall all the so called "taboo topics". It is our goal to make them learn about life and help them develop individually as good human beings. we will teach them of gender equality, cleanliness, environmental protection, child abuse and child labor to count a few. This would enable them to contribute effectively in the society and would help in value addition. Apart from this, as i told in my round 1 application about my fight for bullying free environment, i would teach children about the effects of bullying and why they shouldn't grow up being bullies or victims of bullying. If the children learn about this in tender age, they won't grow up as bad humans later on in teenage years.
