" Out of the box thinking, and bringing paradigm shifts is what has always fueled me. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will push me to steer myself in these directions alongside other passionate individuals. I firmly believe that collaboration with MCN will enhance the projection of my idea through communities and will be better streamlined with UNAI principles besides the SDGs. I am enthused to envision how this journey of hands on learning will unfold. "

Ever wondered How Harmful Fashion Can be to the planet? THREAD is all about making sustainable, easy, and affordable fashion choices accessible to everyone. We aim to help people build capsule wardrobes, style outfits creatively, and choose Eco-friendly alternatives without compromising on style. Our initiative focuses on social media awareness and conducting surveys to understand shopping habits. Beyond that, we address everyday practices like ditching plastic bags and properly disposing of old clothes and makeup to reduce waste. Fashion often comes at the cost of not just the environment but also to animals, as many products are made through a cruel and nonchalant manner. To challenge this, we are launching the " Live in Reality" campaign. Through brand collaborations, local artisan support, and social media outreach, aim to educate and inspire young people to embrace sustainable fashion choices that are ethical, responsible and conscious of their impact.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sanvi Mathur is an enthusiastic and fun loving penultimate year law student who is passionate about changing mindsets of people and bringing them to believe that change occurs bit by bit. Born and brought up in Lucknow, India, she now resides in the throbbing heart of India, the NCR. Part of the Environment Club from her school days, she was the one who would give a side eye to people who litter around them. Deeply motivated by responsible production and consumption so that the world has more place for mankind, flora and fauna to flourish rather than waste sitting on earth for years. All through these years, she has wanted her voice to make tangible impact, do something for the downtrodden, and underprivileged, and hopes that MCN will be that stage to achieve this.
