Millennium Fellowship Project: Wings of change : Empower HER
The project focused on spreading awareness about menstrual and female health among young women. This topic is often treated as a taboo in society, and our goal was to help mainstream the conversation. The target audience was young females aged 13–18. The project reached the intended age group through a menstrual health demonstration conducted for young school students. What went well was that the children were given the opportunity to learn how to take care of their bodies during menstruation, something that is often not taught openly in Indian society.
