JanaSnagama we plan to undertake actionable tasks involving the community. We seek to address SDG goals of Sustainable cities, reducing inequalities and measures to tackle poverty. Based in a metropolitan city, our team has identified the confluence of all of these issues as major goals that if worked towards will help our community to become a sustainable city while at the same time ensuring it becomes a model city by reducing inequalities for the people that make up the community.

Its work includes projects such as Building Sustainable Bengaluru: One Raindrop at a Time, which studies and addresses urban flooding through civic research, stakeholder consultations, and policy recommendations aligned with SDG 11; Empowering Underprivileged Girl Children through Financial Literacy and Cyber Safety Education, implemented at Sharanya Children’s Home to reduce informational inequality and advance SDGs 4, 5, and 10 by equipping girls with essential life skills; and Native Species Plantation Drives, a community-based environmental initiative aimed at restoring Bengaluru’s ecological balance by reintroducing indigenous plant species, engaging over 1000 families, and promoting long-term environmental sustainability.
