" “I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it brings together young leaders committed to building a more just and sustainable world. I believe the law is not only a tool for governance but a bridge to equity and opportunity. This fellowship will allow me to amplify unheard voices, learn from diverse perspectives, and turn ideas into solutions for real-world challenges. I do this work because change begins when empathy meets action, and no one should be left behind in the progress we create.” "
Millennium Fellowship Project: SPEAK : Support, Protect, Educate, Advocate, Knowledge
Project SPEAK is a social initiative that amplifies the voices of women and girls silenced by harmful practices like forced marriages and female genital mutilation (FGM). Despite being the 21st century, these violations persist, stripping survivors of autonomy, dignity, and choice while leaving lasting scars. SPEAK works to break the silence through community talks, workshops, and campaigns, in collaboration with NGOs, while also creating accessible resources for those affected. With a strong focus on education, the project engages schools and colleges to promote comprehensive sex education centered on bodily autonomy, consent, and human rights. At its core, SPEAK strives to end stigma, empower young people, and ensure that dignity and choice are upheld as fundamental rights for every woman and girl.
