ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Janasangama

Janasangama, our think tank, means the congregation of people in unity. Our project aims to conduct research, create awareness and also implement the policies through assessments made by the team. JanaSnagama we plan to undertake actionable tasks involving the community. We seek to address SDG goals of Sustainable cities, reducing inequalities and measures to tackle poverty. Based in a metropolitan city, our team has identified the confluence of all of these issues as major goals that if worked towards will help our community to become a sustainable city while at the same time ensuring it becomes a model city by reducing inequalities for the people that make up the community.

Its work includes projects such as Building Sustainable Bengaluru: One Raindrop at a Time, which studies and addresses urban flooding through civic research, stakeholder consultations, and policy recommendations aligned with SDG 11; Empowering Underprivileged Girl Children through Financial Literacy and Cyber Safety Education, implemented at Sharanya Children’s Home to reduce informational inequality and advance SDGs 4, 5, and 10 by equipping girls with essential life skills; and Native Species Plantation Drives, a community-based environmental initiative aimed at restoring Bengaluru’s ecological balance by reintroducing indigenous plant species, engaging over 1000 families, and promoting long-term environmental sustainability. Together, these projects reflect Janasangama’s commitment to participatory governance, inclusive development, and building resilient, equitable, and sustainable urban communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Economics graduate currently pursuing a degree in law, driven by a passion for interdisciplinary learning and real-world application. Committed to adopting a creative approach and exploring new ideas with enthusiasm. Known for an inquisitive mindset, strong research capabilities, and a dedicated work ethic aimed at consistently delivering the best results. He strives to integrate economics and law to ensure sustainability by relying on traditional Bharathiya Sampradayas of preserving, protecting and caring the Prakriti.
