" Being a Millennium Fellow excites me because it connects my local experiences with a global network of young leaders who want to make change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: SNHU Visionary Voices
We’re a group of young people here in Kakuma Refugee Camp who are really passionate about helping others, especially when it comes to education. We’i've seen how tough it can be to stay motivated and find the right support, so we decided to step up. Our goal is to mentor our friends and neighbors, guiding them through school and life challenges. We want to see more of us succeed, not just for ourselves but for the whole community. By supporting each other, we’re building a future where more young people become role models and leaders
About the Millennium Fellow
Ajang Joseph Dhieu is a South Sudanese learner who grew up and studied in Kenya. His interest in teaching and technology comes from real classroom experiences, where he has seen how simple tools can make learning easier. He enjoys turning difficult ideas into small, clear steps that others can follow. At the same time, he is curious about science and often connects it to everyday life. With his background in two countries, Joseph values both his South Sudanese roots and the wider view he gained in Kenya. He continues to build his skills with the hope of helping others learn and grow.
