" I am passionate about creating safe spaces for young teenage mothers who are often overlooked by the society. Through Millennium Fellowship, I am excited to strengthen my leadership and advocacy skills and collaborate with like-minded change makers and make an impact in my community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Young Mother's Initiative

My project is all about reaching out to young girls who got pregnant and delivered children during their teenage years. The aim of this project is to give back hope and counseling to these young mums that they can still achieve their goals in career aspirations. This is because most of them dropped out of school, some primary school and and others high school, due to pregnancies. Through this project, there will be seminars to talk to them, discuss their challenges and offer counselling to them. Also, we can reach out to their parents or guardians and create awareness on the importance of taking back their daughters to school after delivery.
