" I believe design has the power to bring dignity, comfort, and opportunity to people’s lives. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I am excited to learn, share ideas, and work with others who care about creating positive change. This experience will help me grow my skills and make my work for communities more impactful and aligned with the SDGs. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Designing Smiles

Our project, Designing Smiles, began with a simple, heartfelt realization children in orphanages need more than just donations. They need to feel seen, heard and deeply connected. we've all felt the joy of a true friendship, the comfort of knowing someone cares. That is the feeling we set out to create. This is something entirely different than a traditional charity. It's a partnership of hearts where we bring students and children together to form groups and create a gift or a activity that will be truly memorable. For us, it may be a few hours, but for the children, it's a profound, memorable experience that reminds them they are valued. Our goal is to create bonds of friendship that will be cherished long after. Goals(August-December 2025)
Developing genuine friendship bonds between students and childrens of the orphanages.
Creating a meaningful toys or maybe a present that can be memorable experience.
