" Creativity, enthusiasm and collaboration combined make work enjoyable and efficient. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I look forward to interacting with my cohorts and hone my skills so that I can put them to use in the future and create an everlasting impact on the society. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sera: The Pink Initiative
Sera: The Pink Initiative was set into action as two young minds with a shared passion for social change, came together to build something for the betterment of the community. It focuses on bringing awareness towards female reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, and safe pad disposal. By doing so it works around the SDGs 3, 5, and 12 of the UN. We also hope to bring this conversation to all genders, highlighting the importance of menstruators as a part of society. Through the means of this initiative, we aim to motivate infrastructural changes such as working pad dispensers, and pad disposing bins in educational institutions. In all our actions, we hope to leave a strong platform that encourages open dialogue in this area, breaking the taboos that have long surrounded reproductive health in the Indian society, even in the 21st century.
