" For me, creativity is both a form of expression and quiet resistance. I've often felt unsure of myself, but art, design, and code have been ways to say what words sometimes can’t. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I hope to grow into the kind of person who creates safe and inclusive spaces—especially for those who’ve been overlooked or underestimated. By aligning my projects with the UNAI principles and Sustainable Development Goals, I want to blend empathy with technology to make impact feel personal, not distant. This is a chance for me to be seen, and to help others be seen too. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: SHEF - Supporting Housewives' Empowerment through Food

The aim of this project is to support the housewives of the area by introducing a small scale food supply chain over a 4 month period. Through this we can ensure that the housewives earn a daily income and people get delicious home cooked meals at an affordable rate. Here is how the whole operation will work. The housewives will cook extra food than usual and pack it in clean containers or banana leaves. They will drop of the food at collection point (a nearby school, community center, anganwadi etc) or volunteers will go around houses collecting the food. All the collected food will be sold by setting up a simple stall near a busy place like bus stops, school gates etc. Finally, the money earned will be distributed accordingly.

About the Millennium Fellow

Angelina Rose M is a curious and determined Computer Science Engineering student at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, hailing from Kerala, India. Naturally creative and artistic, she spends much of her free time designing and expressing herself through various forms of art. An active member of numerous organizations both within and outside her college, Angelina strives to make a meaningful impact through her work and collaborations.
Although she describes herself as somewhat timid, Angelina possesses a strong desire to challenge outdated norms and redefine perceptions, particularly for women in her field. Her journey is driven by a determination to prove her worth—not only to those who doubted her, but to herself. She dreams of building a world where individuals are valued for who they truly are and recognized for the work they do, and she hopes to create such an environment for others as well.
