" I am driven by the belief that health is the foundation of economic opportunity. By becoming a Millennium Fellow, I look forward to enhancing my understanding of global health challenges and their direct impact on employment and financial stability. This fellowship will empower me to forge collaborative solutions that break down health barriers for young people, enabling them to unlock their full potential. I am excited to connect with like-minded individuals and harness our collective strengths to create a healthier, more equitable future, fully aligned with the UNAI principles and the Sustainable Development Goals." Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth for Growth
Youth for Growth is an ongoing youth development initiative led by Millennium Fellow Ebong Gideon, created to address the challenges of isolation, self-doubt, and harmful coping practices often faced by young innovators pursuing their dreams under the canopy of The Elites Community Association.
The mission of the initiative is to provide a safe, pressure-free space where authentic young individuals can connect, share knowledge, and collaborate on innovative projects, while promoting mental well-being and resilience. Unlike conventional conferences, its gatherings emphasize communal joy, creativity, and meaningful connections—fostering a supportive network that empowers members to grow without fear of judgment.
From August to December 2025, the project will:
Host four leadership and creativity workshops,
Launch a peer mentorship network connecting at least 30 young members to experienced professionals, and
Facilitate two youth-led community impact projects.
Through both in-person and online engagement, Youth for Growth aims to reach over 200 young people, cultivating a culture of belonging, innovation, and collective progress that extends beyond the fellowship period.
