UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT CARINA NAOMI VAZQUEZ ZUCKERMANN, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2025.
University College Dublin | Dublin, Ireland | Advancing SDG 10 & UNAI 9

" I believe that dignity and equal opportunity are fundamental rights, and it is only humane to support those who need help. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it offers a space to balance ideas, exchange feedback, and receive advice from peers and mentors equally committed to impact. I look forward to refining my work through this collaborative environment and ensuring it aligns with the SDGs. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Migrant Resource Hub
Migrant Resource Hub is an app I’m creating to help migrants in Ireland, specifically International Protection Applicants (IPAs), easily find the support they need. That includes things like food services, legal aid, housing help, places to get essentials like tents or sleeping bags, mental health resources, and even where to apply for things like Safe Pass and Manual Handling to help with job finding. While a lot of this information already exists, it’s often hard to find, overwhelming, not kept up to date, or only available in English. I want to make something simple, clear, and useful, a one-stop guide that stays updated with changing protocols and services and collaborates with the Irish Government to ensure up to date and correct information. The app would be very easy to access, with a QR code in every homeless shelter, IPA help centre, and other key spaces so people can download it straight to their phones without any hassle. For people who don’t have access to a phone, there’ll also be a printed brochure version with the same information, available in multiple languages.
