" The Millennium Fellowship will allow me to fulfill the role I have always aspired to - creating meaningful impact on people’s lives worldwide. My passion for transforming global inequalities and injustice into social rights drives my journey. Collaborating with goal-oriented peers and the United Nations is a life-changing opportunity to grow as a leader. Drawing on my experience as a volunteer and NGO ambassador, I am eager to build a future where education and justice are universal rights rather than privileges. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Open Doors Lebanon

Open Doors Lebanon is an independent project led by Millennium Fellow Lenie Lteif. The initiative addresses educational inequality by providing marginalized and underprivileged students in Lebanon with access to quality education opportunities, mentorship, and career guidance. The project aims to collaborate with local schools, alumni networks, and educators to deliver seminars, mentorship programs, and a free digital “Opportunity Guide” that highlights scholarships, universities, and vocational pathways.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August-December 2025), Open Doors Lebanon will organize at least five seminars across underserved regions, build a mentorship network connecting 50+ students with professionals, and create a resource platform reaching over 300 youth. By empowering students with knowledge and connections, the project seeks to inspire them to pursue meaningful academic and career paths, contributing to a more equitable future in Lebanon.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lenie Lteif is an ambitious and goal-oriented student of Arts and Sciences at UCL, specializing in Law, Politics, and Economics. Born and raised in Lebanon, she witnessed firsthand the instability and corruption that shaped her commitment to justice and governance. During the COVID-19 crisis, she co-founded an NGO providing educational devices to students in need and supported initiatives addressing poverty in Lebanon. After the Beirut port explosion in 2020, she moved to Paris and later to London, where she continues to advocate for change through the UCL Law Society and as a student representative for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Lenie aspires to build a fairer world where justice and education are universal rights, not privileges.
