UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT CHRISTOPHER LEUNG, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2025.
University of California Los Angeles | California, United States | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 6

" My passion for mental health advocacy is driven by the belief that every community deserves access to care and support. Being a Millennium Fellow will allow me to collaborate with like-minded peers and transform this passion into sustainable action. The skills and networks I gain will strengthen my ability to bridge science, medicine, and community work. I am excited to contribute to a movement that advances equity, dignity, and well-being for all. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Suicide Prevention Training for UCLA RA's
I am advocating for UCLA Resident Assistants to receive a 2 hour suicide prevention training. Suicide and mental health is a concern at UCLA, a student recently died this month due to suicide. The goals are to obtain training from the CAPS Center (Counseling And Psychological Services), that they already have. This would support SDG 3: Health and wellness because this would equip them to support student mental health and reduce self-harm.
