" " As a youth leader, I am excited to be part of Millennium Fellowship and this opportunity will undoubtedly elevate my leadership abilities for it will put me in a space surrounded by like-minded peers. Millennium Fellowship will help me blend my leadership skills with may passion for SDG 16. My wish is to see a community where peace and justice for all is everyone's focal point and I believe strongly that this is possible if we collectively stand as stewards to uphold peace and justice. Being part of this Millennium Cohort will not only drive my passion but stir tangible impacts." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Awareness Run
The project was aimed at creating awareness about drug abuse, addiction, and mental health challenges faced by students and the community at large. It focused on providing support, guidance, and counselling, tackling stigma, and reaching out to those already struggling with these issues.
Students at my university were the primary target audience, as many struggle with addiction, drug abuse, and depression. The secondary target was the community around the university.
The project was executed through organizing a run, which helped us disseminate information about drug abuse, addiction, and depression among both students and the surrounding community.
