United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: EMPOWERING ALL

Empowering All is an individual project by a Millennium Fellow Nakabira Joan Gloria. This project addresses issues of poor quality education facilities, high levels of illiteracy, gender inequality, and lack of legal knowledge.
It aims at improving education facilities, advocating for importance of education and encouraging parents to educate their children, advocating for and promoting gender equality and educating communities on their rights and various legal processes . During the Millennium Fellowship period (August to December) The project will host a minimum of two events with the aim of providing scholastic materials to children in Nyanja community , encouraging parents to educate their children, advocating for gender equality and educating communities on their rights and the different legal process.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nakabira Joan Gloria is an LLB3 student at Uganda Christian University, a proud feminist and activist for gender equality .
Besides advocating for women's rights she also seeks for empowerment of all through access to education and access to legal education believing that attaining education is empowerment .
Gloria also advocates for environmental preservation through eco-friendly ways of living and peaceful coexistence with one another .
She aspires to be the change she seeks.
